About the Club
Learn What We’re About
Blessington Sailing Club (BLSC) is a community centred watersports facility that is safe, family orientated with a vibrant youth scene. It is set in a spectacular location on a 3.5 acre site close to Dublin on the banks of the Blessington Lake with unspoilt views of the lake against the backdrop of the Wicklow mountains.
The BLSC provides Irish Sailing Accredited training qualifications for Dinghy and National Powerboat Certification. We cater for people from 6 yrs +, throughout the year. Whether you wish to sail for sheer pleasure or competitively the BLSC will cater for you.
In addition the BLSC is home to the Kildare Water Safety association who provide near all year round Life Guard training and certification. Further, this location is home to the Blessington Scouting Association and Black Rock Rowing Club which demonstrates truly integrated community approach by the BLSC into the hinterland of Wicklow, Kildare and Dublin.

Get out in the sun
Our summer camps take place between July and August. The camp is for 6-18 year old's and is a great sport for your kids to enjoy. Over the course they learn about wind, how to rig a boat, sail and most importantly make friends. For enquirers about Sail Training or Junior Training please contact info@blsc.ie
Swim, Sweat and Gears
As one of our most popular events the triathlon takes place once a year around the last week in June. The triathlon is enjoyed by hundreds of people each year. At the end of the day a large barbecue is made as a well done and to send you on your way.

Ready to Host
We host regattas for all fleets as all of our members lend in a helping had including rescue, committee boat and shore master. We welcome all boat types into our club and hope to expand sailing fleets.

Provides access and use of all of the BLSC sailing facilities, boats and clubhouse all year round.
Individual Membership
€252.00
provides individual adult members access to all the facilities at BLSC including club boats, clubhouse and access to sail on the Blessington Lake.
Family Membership
€336.00
Provides all family members to avail of all the facilities at BLSC including club boats, clubhouse and access to sail on the Blessington lake. Also includes own boat storage all year round at the club.
Adult Training Course
€160.00
This is a 6 week sailing course run periodically on Sundays from 10:00-13:30. It enables adults to start sailing from scratch and undertake each of the sailing courses.
Junior Training Course
€300
This price differs if you are a member and if you own your own boat. The course takes place over July and August, each course is 2 weeks long to pass  level
